Soprano Jenny Schuler has been described as “incredibly captivating”, and “a magnetic performer” with a “sparkling instrument”. Most recently she was the recipient of 1st prize in the Heafner Williams Vocal Competition. In the 2016/2017 season she will be performing the title roles of Florencia en el Amazonas and Ariadne auf Naxos. A few of her recent roles include: Micaëla in La Tragédie de Carmen, Anaide in Il cappello di paglia di firenze, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia, and Alice Ford in Falstaff. Jenny graduated with a Masters in Voice performance from Roosevelt University Chicago College of Performing Arts and is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma with A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute.
Jonathan Weyant, Tenor, completed his Master’s degree at Chicago College of Performing Arts – Roosevelt University in May, 2013. Recently at CCPA, Mr. Weyant debuted several roles including Il Tinco (Il Tabarro), Theseus (L’Abandon d’Ariane, La Delivrance de Thesee) and Commanding Officer/ Government Official (Amelia). In previous seasons, he has performed as the 2nd Priest (Die Zauberflote) under the baton of Michael Morgan and covered Candide (Candide).
A native of Scottsdale, AZ, Jonathan has had the privilege to sing under numerous conductors in the US and abroad. He sang under the baton of Domkapellmeister Janos Czifra in the Salzburg Dom for a production of Mozart’s Coronation Mass. He also sang 1st armoured Man (Die Zauberflote) in Rome, Italy under the direction of Francesco Carotenuto.
Mr. Weyant most recently performed with the Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy. He performed the role of Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), covered Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) and was the tenor soloist for Mozart’s Coronation Mass.
Mr. Weyant received his Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University where he performed the role of Valere (Tartuffe) and was in many opera ensembles.
